As remarkable as Yellowstone National Park is during the rest of the year, the park in winter is a magical place.Deep snow, cold temperatures and short days characterize winter in Yellowstone.While Yellowstone's winter wonderland is magical, it is also a place of vulnerability. Wildlife endures the cold and wind as each species struggles in its own way to survive.
We typically set up a base camp on Yellowstone's Northern Range in an area that is protected from the elements and that allows us to explore the surroundings on half-day forays. We provide all equipment and food as well as an experienced, knowledgeable guide.
This is a 3- or 4-day custom tour for small groups consisting of family members or friends and can be combined with any of our winter safaris as well. We pick you up at your hotel in Bozeman or Gardiner.
