To Adam, nothing is better than hearing the sounds of the wild on a calm morning. An elk bugles in the distance, a yellow-rumped warbler begins singing, or a wolf pack howls in unison. All of these sounds tell the story of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and Adam loves sharing his passion for wildlife through these stories. While seeing a bear might be the highlight of a tour, he will also draw your attention to the incredible birds and less heralded wildlife that are just as special. As an experienced wildlife and landscape photographer, he loves helping guests come away from a tour with images that they’ll love!

Bio
Adam grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, and went to Michigan State University to study computer science. In college he interned in Helena, MT, where he truly discovered a passion for spending time outdoors. He moved to Colorado and worked as a software engineer for three years before burning out. He left his job to hike 1,000 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail through Oregon and Washington. That hike led to a new career when he began to pursue outdoor work! His next stop was in Vermont working as a backcountry caretaker on the Long Trail. In that role Adam maintained trails, managed the composting process at privies, and was a steward for alpine environments. He is excited to be back in Montana sharing his love for wild places with visitors to the region!
Photography is a huge passion for Adam. While there are many individual images that stand out in his portfolio, his photo projects are what he’s most proud of. An example of these is an ongoing effort to photograph mountain lions in the Rockies using camera traps. He also has done projects around American Dippers (his favorite bird), black-tailed prairie dogs in Colorado, and the effects of wildfire in the American West. He also loves teaching and sharing his love of wildlife through photography!
Our wildlife safari was amazing! Our guide not only knew where to go, what to look for but had so much wildlife, park and historical knowledge it was unbelievable! Highly recommend!
