Bio
Growing up in rural Wisconsin, Hannah was able to foster a love and passion for the outdoors from a young age, which led to her pursuing a degree in Wildlife Ecology. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, she spent the next decade working on wildlife research projects across the country, studying Mexican wolves in the desert southwest, black bears in Florida, and lesser prairie-chickens in New Mexico, among many other species and locations. For her master’s degree, Hannah studied migration strategies and resource selection of mule deer in the southwestern United States.
Hannah started guiding at Yellowstone Safari Company in the spring of 2023, immersing herself into what is arguably the lower 48’s coolest study area, the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Whether you’re watching a newborn ‘red dog’ roaming around, or seeing a bubbling mudpot for the first time, it’s nearly impossible to leave the park without learning or seeing something new. At the end of a long day in the park, Hannah hopes her guests share that same sentiment, and that even a small amount of her enthusiasm for the natural world is able to spread.
In her free time Hannah loves to explore our Public Lands, and she has a life goal of seeing each of our country’s 63 National Parks. Currently, she’s more than 3/4th of the way there!
This private tour of Yellowstone made the most of our one day there. Our guide Hannah M was so knowledgeable-clearly loved the wildlife, listened to our preferences, showed us more of Yellowstone than we ever could have seen in one day on our own! Highly recommend her and this company.
