Maia Zaluski

Maia grew up in Helena, Montana, spending much of her childhood enjoying the great outdoors while hiking, camping, and rafting in the summer, and on the ski hill in the winter. Maia has been visiting Yellowstone since she was a toddler and has a lifelong appreciation for this amazing ecosystem. In high school, Maia spent her winters sharing her love for the outdoors with others as a ski instructor at Discovery Ski Basin.

Maia attended MSU Bozeman for college and continued ski coaching at Bridger Ski Area in the winters. In the summers, she began her work in environmental protection as part of FWP’s aquatic invasive species prevention team. After college, she moved to the Flathead Valley to work as an engineer on an innovative renewable energy solution, and continued to explore Montana’s amazing outdoors. During this time, Maia started rock climbing, mountain biking, and backpacking. She also obtained her scuba certification at this time and began exploring the underwater world.

Maia returned to Bozeman in 2024 and became a guide for Yellowstone Safari in 2025. She brings her deep connection to Montana’s outdoors to guests from all over the world. Maia appreciates that in this role, she has the opportunity to combine her passion for the environment with her love for adventuring and nature. She can’t wait to share all of this with the guests of Yellowstone Safari, making each safari adventure a unique and memorable experience for all!
